Exhibitor FAQ

We’ve listed a few common questions here and provided some info for you. If we haven’t answered any questions you might still have, please drop us a line.

How much does it cost to exhibit at the Fair?Nothing. It’s always free to exhibit at the Fair.

Parking is terrible on campus right? Not really. Since we hold the Fair on a Saturday, all campus lots are available, and there are a number close to the Memorial Union and the SEC Plaza. Take a look at the page from this past year containing maps and other info here.

Do I have to exhibit something hi-tech at the Fair? Not at all. We welcome creativity of all kinds — hi tech, lo tech and no tech. If you have questions or ideas, just let us know and we’ll work with you to help make the experience rewarding for all.

Should I bring food? You’re welcome to bring food along with you. There are however also other options close by. We typically will have some refreshments and light snacks available for our makers, and one or more food trucks will park on the Plaza upstairs for lunch. Water stations will be available throughout the day.

Is there any help available for unloading, setting up and tearing down?Yes. We have a corps of volunteers on hand to help throughout the day, particularly with unloading and loading your items before and after the fair. If you have special circumstances (e.g. a ton of stuff), that’s fine but it’s a good idea to let us know beforehand so we can make sure to dedicate extra assistance.

Can I sell things at the Fair? No. We are a non-commercial event that is designed above all to emphasize collaborative learning about what it is that our makers love to create. While we support local business and encourage all to use the Fair as a way to spread the word about the services or products they provide, we want the Fair to remain a payment-free space.
